ABOUT THE SACCO

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Asili Sacco Society Limited was established in 1972 and registered under the Cooperative Society Act Cap 490 with registration No. CS 2077. Initially, the society members formed the Ministry of Natural Resources but now, it has opened its common bond to accommodate all. The Sacco operates both BOSA and FOSA services and it is licensed and regulated by Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA). Currently, the membership of the Sacco is 11,000 members, with 7 board members, 3 Supervisory members, and 34 staff members.

The Sacco has opened one branch in Muhurubay, Migori County which offers both FOSA and Sacco operations.

GROWTH

Asili Sacco is a deposit-taking Sacco with membership spread countrywide and some abroad. The Sacco has grown tremendously with a membership of over 10,000 members with a balance sheet of over KSH 2 Billion as at the end of the year 2017. The Sacco was the pioneer of the Sacco Link Card and recently introduced Electronic Fund Transfer(EFT), salary processing in conjunction with Co-operative Bank Of Kenya and we are in progress of introducing more innovative products to our members.

Asili Sacco has embraced technology and M-ASILI as our mobile application.

Our Sacco is one of the most compliant institutions governed by relevant laws & regulations as stipulated by the Sacco movement laws in Kenya.
